Appeal Property Value

Board Responsibilities
The Board of Equalization (BOE) is the process through which taxpayers may appeal the fair market value the County Assessor has placed on their property. The appeals may be filed with the Sevier County Clerk / Auditor Office:
250 N. Main St.
Suite 100
Richfield, UT 84701

The Appeal Process
  • A separate Request for Review - Locally Assessed Real Property Form must be filed for each parcel. Please ensure that the application is completed and signed before submission to the Sevier County Clerk / Auditor Office.
  • If being represented by someone else, please complete and sign an Authorization to Represent Record Fee Owner Form.
  • The application, along with all supporting evidence and documentation, should be returned to the Sevier County Clerk / Auditor Office on or before the deadline. State law dictates that the property owner has 45 days from the day valuation notices are mailed or September 15, whichever is later.

Note: Dates to meet with the Board of Equalization officer are listed on your current property valuation notice.
